Book Delivery: Many of our homebound seniors can't get to the library to check out books. The Senior Activity Centers and Los Alamos County Libraries are teaming up to bring the library to our homebound seniors. You can help by delivering books once a month to our homebound seniors.

Lunch Greeter: Lunch greeters share a friendly hello and sign people in who are visiting our centers for lunch. We love someone with a great smile and warm hello. Greeters pick up the lunch list, money box, and change from the administration and return everything when the meal is done. Greeters can work 2-4 hours per week or more.

Quilter: Volunteers work as a group to complete quilts for babies, youth, and adults. Quilts are then donated to various organizations in Northern New Mexico. Approximately 100 quilts are made a year.

Receptionist: Volunteers staff our front desks at both Betty Ehart and White Rock. We are currently looking for regular as well as substitute front desk volunteers. 3-4 hours per shift, Monday - Saturday.

Senior Companion: Senior Companions are volunteers who provide friendship to seniors who live alone. Senior Companions visit their seniors once or twice a month for conversation, game playing, and companionship.

Volunteer Driver: Our Volunteer Ride program is an important option for meeting the transportation needs of seniors in our community who require transportation outside of Los Alamos for medical appointments.
