In December, 2025, I was asked to fill a short-term vacancy on the Board of Directors. Since then, I have learned much about how important the Board of Directors is to the functioning of the two Senior Centers in Los Alamos County. The Board works as a resource to help ensure the centers have the staff, funds, and support to keep the doors open and provide services to our senior community. After this experience, I want to continue serving our senior community as a Board Member for a full three-year term.

Helen Butler

While I am relatively new to Los Alamos, I possess years of experience in health care as a nurse and health care provider, and administrator. After living in the community for the past year, Los Alamos is my home -- where my roots are now planted. I wish to contribute to meeting the needs of the senior community, that in turn also contributes to the health and well-being of all generations living here. It would be an honor to serve and use my previous experience in health care, and community support as part of the LARSO Board of Directors.

Robin Fisher

My long career in the government Census Bureau and the Office of Tax Analysis made use of my skills as a Mathematician specializing in Statistics and Data Science, program management, computer modeling, and presenting information on the significance of data analyses useful to the membership, LARSO Board and stakeholders. As a Board member, I hope to contribute to strategic planning, provide data driven information on the LARSO operational costs, financial trends, and in variety of other areas where these types of information are useful.
