Home Book Delivery
Are you unable to visit the library regularly due to low vision, limited mobility, or other health conditions?
The Los Alamos Public Library and Los Alamos Retired & Senior Organization have launched a new service to increase access to books, large print texts, audiobooks, and movies for our LARSO members who are homebound or unable to drive themselves.
How does it work?
When you sign up to get books delivered, you will be paired with a library staff member to serve as your personal Book Concierge. Your Book Concierge will assist you in selecting library materials such as books, audiobooks, and movies that suit your interests. On the last Friday of each month, LARSO volunteer drivers will make library deliveries right to the front door of your home.
To sign up for home book delivery or find out if you qualify, call Eva Jacobson at 505-663-1812 or email eva.jacobson@lacnm.us.
Reassurance Calls
Would you like someone to call you every weekday morning to check in? Our senior center volunteers can call you for a variety of reasons, from reminding you to take your medications to a friendly chat about your plans for the day. Upon your request, we can also contact a friend or family member should you not answer our call. To learn more and sign up, call Jenn Neil at 505-570-5461 or email adminasst@losalamosseniorcenter.com.
