Director’s Corner November 2024

Jacci Gruninger, Executive Director, Los Alamos Retired & Senior Organization

Dear Members of the Senior Activity Centers,

As the golden hues of autumn embrace the earth, we are reminded that Fall is a time of profound transformation and reflection. The natural world shows us the beauty of letting go as leaves gently release from their branches, making space for renewal, rest, and new growth. In this season, we can pause, reflect, and realign with what matters most in our lives. It’s an opportunity to cultivate mindfulness, gratitude, and intention as we move through the rhythm of change.

As we move towards the close of 2024, we are excited about what 2025 might bring. Now, though, it is a time to come together and support one another, to embrace our ability to give and make a positive impact.

Your contributions to the Senior Activity Center have made a meaningful difference in the lives of our members. Your generosity and support have created a warm, welcoming community where everyone feels valued and connected.

Your support helps in various impactful ways:

  • $5 provides a meal, ensuring every member can access nourishing food.

  • $8 provides round-trip transport, enabling members to attend activities and appointments.

  • $7 provides an hour of respite care for those experiencing memory loss.

  • Your support also contributes to our general fund and staff, allowing us to continue offering various engaging activities and support services.

Your generosity truly makes a difference, and we are deeply grateful for your ongoing support. Your contributions make our community what it is. Together, let's embrace the spirit of giving and supporting one another as we look forward to the opportunities and experiences that 2025 will bring.

Thank you for being a valued community member and for your continued support. Please consider donating to the Centers this holiday season by visiting larso.org/donate.

Wishing you a season filled with warmth, joy, and meaningful connections.

With gratitude,

Jacci
