The Science of Tea

The Los Alamos Retired and Senior Organization, The Los Alamos Teen Center, and Samizdat Bookstore are pleased to host an afternoon exploring the science of tea!

We invite you to join us for a highly interactive and relaxed afternoon at the Betty Ehart Senior Center on Sunday, July 14 from 2 - 4 pm. Tickets are $10 and available for purchase here.

We will taste six different types of tea, each paired with small bites prepared by the Senior Center’s talented chefs. We will learn how terroir, cultivars, and processing affect the chemical composition of teas sourced from India, Japan, Nepal, and China, as well as how our own individual senses influence our experience with taste

This event is for those age 13 and older.
